Childhood obesity rates are on rise at present causing major threat to the health and well-being of an entire generation of children.
Empowering youth to adapt a healthy lifestyle is a generation-changing, life-enhancing program goal. It is necessary to develop the lifestyle skills in the early years of a Child’s Life so that he/she can keep these healthy habits throughout life, leading to a more active and healthy community. Healthy Habits emphasizes eating smart and maintaining physical fitness to improve the overall well-being of Children.
Educating children the power of choice, calories, vitamins and minerals, the food pyramid and appropriate portion size will help foster healthy habits in a child.
