Dr. Yahya Al Naggar, lecturer of Entomology and Ecotoxicology at Zoology Department, Faculty of Science, Tanta University. I got my B. Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from zoology department, faculty of science, Tanta University, Egypt in 2007 and 2011 respectively. Then I travelled to Canada, where I joined to Prof. John Giesy group at toxicology center, Saskatchewan University for my PhD project from 2012-2015. I have a great experience in pesticides toxicology, molecular techniques and ecological risk assessment of pesticides on bees, aquatic insects, birds and fishes. Moreover, my on-going research is directed toward the effects of neonics on pollinator immunity and susceptibility to different infectious diseases. I have published 9 peer-reviewed journal articles. I have awarded the scientific publication award three times from Tanta University, Egypt. Recently, I have been awarded the gold medal for best oral presentation at the 13th Asian apicultural association conference (Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
Honey bee colony losses (Colony Collapse Disorders, CCD), Bee toxicology and insect molecular toxicology, Ecological Risk Assessment of Pesticides and heavy metals on pollinators and aquatic insects, Beekeeping and varroa mite control, Analysis of pesticides residues and heavy metals in environmental samples.
