My research over the past ten years has been focused on different aspects of geological sciences including Sedimentology, Geochemistry and evolution of coral islands, paleo-environmental studies and environmental monitoring and assessment like water and sediment quality assessment. I have experience on analytical instruments such as SEM, XRD and AAS. Presently, I am focusing on metal accumulation on coral reef growth bands and species in Gulf of Mannar to investigate the coastal development and human impact on reef ecosystem.
