Biography
I graduated from NYU School of Medicine in 1985 and completed internship and residency training in General Surgery in 1991 and in Vascular Surgery in 1992, both at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. I then became Chief of Vascular Surgery at the Bronx VA. In 1998, I moved to the Mount Sinai Medical Center as a full-time staff member in the Division of Vascular Surgery. I am currently Co-Director of the Vascular Laboratory, which became ICAVL-accredited in 1999. From 2003-10, I was Program Director of the Vascular Surgery Training Program and succeeded in making Mount Sinai was one of the very early institutions offering the 0+5 Integrated Vascular Surgery Training Program. I remain interested in all aspects of peripheral vascular disease, but, as a member of the Fistula First Catheter Last Workgroup, am most actively involved in developing guidelines for dialysis access. I am board-certified in both General and Vascular Surgery.
