Biography
I am a practicing Vascular Surgeon at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the University of Maryland. I earned my medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2001. I then trained in General Surgery at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. After completion of my General Surgery training in 2008, I matriculated to the University of California, San Francisco where I trained in Vascular Surgery. I have been practicing in Maryland since completion of my fellowship in 2010. In addition to my clinical practice, I am interested in Vascular Biology, in particular the response of a blood vessel to iatrogenic trauma, such as bypass surgery, angioplasty, or stenting. I have been awarded funding through both the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Vascular Cures foundation.
