Biography
Dr. Shin is currently an Assistant Professor of Pharmacotherapy & Translational Research at the College of Pharmacy, Kyungpook National University. After graduating from Seoul National University (SNU) College of Pharmacy, she went on to be trained in the clinical pharmacology graduate course at SNU College of Medicine. She received her Ph.D. from this university in 2012, and has been involved in many clinical pharmacology research projects since training. She is interested in various topics related to individualized pharmacotherapy, drug metabolism, disposition and pharmacokinetics, biomarkers for inter-individual variation to drug response with omics approaches. Dr. Shin has been conducting clinical studies for optimal drug therapy regarding a wide range of therapeutic areas, and span over various kinds of study types such as drug-drug interaction studies, pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic studies. Recently, she has been conducting pharmacometabolomic study in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients as principal investigator.
