Biography | ||
I obtained my degrees at the University of Milan-Bicocca and, later, at the University of Padua, where I progressively became involved in the field of parenting, child development and adult-child interactions. During the last years I have been doing research and intervention in parenting and infants emotional development in risk (i.e. in the case of parental psychopathology or dyads with difficulties in emotion regulation) and non-at-risk conditions (unselected families), through the use of validated and standardized attachment-based intervention and assessment tools. Recently I have become involved in a project aimed at assessing the impact of extra-familiar caretaking on child development (i.e. quality of childcare centers). | ||
Research Interest | ||
My theoretical and methodological background is grounded on the integration of Attachment theory, transactional theories and the more recent theory of Emotional Availability. |
