Abstract

The novel synthesis of 4-[(5-phenyl-1H-1,2,4- triazol-3-yl) sulfanyl] benzene-1,2-dicarbonitrile tetra substituted cobalt(II)phthalocyanine (SBTCo(II)Pc) by wet chemical method in non aqueous phase. The prepared complex was characterized by spectral and analytical methods. carbon-past electrode (CPE) containing substituted cobalt(II)phthalocyanine composite with hybrid carbon-past materials for electrochemical determination of dopamine (DA). Synthesized compounds are showed electrocatalytic activity towards the detection of DA. The modified carbon past electrode increases the electrons kinetic rate, and conductivity of the phthalocyanine and enhanced the surface area of sensor. The bare carbon-past electrode was coated with combination of substituted cobalt(II)phthalocyanine and CPE (SBTCo(II)Pc-CPE) for better sensing of dopamine (DA). The composite CPE were characterized using different electrochemical methods are cyclic voltametry (CV) and differential pulse voltametry, on optimal condition, the excellent linear range was observed (CV, 20-400 nm) and DPV, 10-600 nmolL−1), sensitivity and LOD values, sensitivity of (CV, 89.081 μAμM−1cm−2 and DPV, 52.645 μAμM−1cm−2) and LOD of (CV, 0.00666 μmolL−1 and DPV 0.003 μmolL−1). SBTCo(II)Pc- CPE exhibits good selectivity, reproducibility and stability in the presence of common coexisting ions. The prepared CPE is successfully subjected for the electrochemical detection of dopamine in pharmaceutical preparations..
