Abstract

Synthesis and characterization of transition metal heterochelates with oxine and vitamin U

The novel ternary chelates of transition metal ions with oxine as primary and vitamin U as secondary ligands have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity, thermogravimetry, magnetic susceptibility, IR spectroscopy and electronic spectra. The results are in accord with an octahedral environment. All chelates are paramagnetic. A study of the thermal properties has also been carried out.
