Biomedical Signal Processing

Our bodies always pass on information about our health. This information can be captured using body metrics that measure heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation levels, blood sugar, nerve circulation, brain function and more. Traditionally, those measurements are taken at specific points in time and recorded on the patient's chart. Doctors actually see less than one percent of these figures as they go around - and treatment decisions are made based on these different findings. Biomedical signal performance also includes analysis of these measurements to provide useful information on which physicians can make decisions. Engineers are finding new ways to process these signals using various mathematical methods and algorithms. Working with traditional bio-measurement tools, the software can be calculated to provide physicians with real-time information and more insights to help with clinical trials. By using the most sophisticated methods of analyzing our body's expression, we can identify the patient's health status in less restrictive ways.
