Analgesics

Analgesics, unlike anesthetics that causes unconsciousness, are the pain-killers or drugs used to accomplish the condition of analgesia to relieve pain by acting on the peripheral and central nervous systems. They can be provided based on the extent of pain, for example, paracetamol or acetaminophen and NSAIDs are suggested for mild-to-moderate pain, and weak opioids, such as codeine, dihydrocodeine or tramadol are suggested for moderate-to-severe pain.
