Journal of Anatomical Science and Research

About Journal of Anatomical Science and Research

In this rapidly growing world of biomedical teaching and research, the meaning of the subject “Anatomy” has also been altered. This has been rightly expressed by some experts that the scope of the word anatomy has extended. Thus, from the level of systemic anatomy (Gross Anatomy), anatomy started changing into more subjects as micro anatomy (histology), macro anatomy (Clinical Anatomy) and molecular anatomy, mammalian embryology (molecular biology). This journal is planned to have a broad coverage to indulge modern scientific advancements and time-tested valuable subjects such as morphological sciences.

Journal of Anatomical Science and Research is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that provides an international forum for the exchange of ideas, opinions, innovations and research on topics related to anatomical science, macro anatomy, micro anatomy, mammalian embryology, histology, and neurosciences at all levels of anatomical science and research. Journal of Anatomical Science and Research accepts different types of articles such as Research articles, Descriptive articles, Review articles, Mini Review, Perspective, Opinion articles, Short Communications, Editorials, Short Commentaries, Image articles, and some other relevant articles which journal aims to publish.

Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process (FEE-Review Process):
Journal of Anatomical Science and Research is participating in the Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process (FEE-Review Process) with an additional prepayment of $99 apart from the regular article processing fee. Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process is a special service for the article that enables it to get a faster response in the pre-review stage from the handling editor as well as a review from the reviewer. An author can get a faster response of pre-review maximum in 3 days since submission, and a review process by the reviewer maximum in 5 days, followed by revision/publication in 2 days. If the article gets notified for revision by the handling editor, then it will take another 5 days for external review by the previous reviewer or alternative reviewer.

Acceptance of manuscripts is driven entirely by handling editorial team considerations and independent peer-review, ensuring the highest standards are maintained no matter the route to regular peer-reviewed publication or a fast editorial review process. The handling editor and the article contributor are responsible for adhering to scientific standards. The article FEE-Review process of $99 will not be refunded even if the article is rejected or withdrawn for publication.

The corresponding author or institution/organization is responsible for making the manuscript FEE-Review Process payment. The additional FEE-Review Process payment covers the fast review processing and quick editorial decisions, and regular article publication covers the preparation in various formats for online publication, securing full-text inclusion in a number of permanent archives like HTML, XML, and PDF, and feeding to different indexing agencies.

Cell Physiology

Cell physiology is the biological study that refers to all the normal functions that take place in a living organism. In the context of human physiology the term cell physiology often specifically applies to the physiology of membrane transport, neuron transmission, and (less frequently) muscle contraction. In general, these cover the digestion of food, circulation of blood, and contraction of muscles.

Clinical Anatomy

Clinical anatomy is defined as anatomy in all its aspects - gross, histologic, developmental and neurologic as applied to clinical practice, the application of anatomic principles to the solution of clinical problems and/or the application of clinical observations to expand anatomic knowledge.

Embryology

Embryology is the branch of biology that studies the prenatal development of gametes (sex cells), fertilization, and development of embryos and fetuses. It also referred as Developmental Anatomy. Additionally, embryology encompasses the study of congenital disorders that occur before birth, known as teratology. Embryology is central to evolutionary developmental biology, which studies the genetic control of the development process (e.g. morphogens), its link to cell signaling, its roles in certain diseases and mutations, and its links to stem cell research.

Electrophysiology

Electrophysiology is the science and branch of physiology, it involves measurements of voltage changes or electric current or manipulations on a wide variety of scales from single ion channel proteins to whole organs like the heart. In neuroscience, it includes measurements of the electrical activity of neurons, action potential activity (ion current) in biological tissues.

Musculoskeletal Anatomy

Musculoskeletal Anatomy is the branch of anatomical study, which focuses on the study of combination of muscles and bones. It describes how bones are connected to other bones and muscle fibers via connective tissue such as tendons and ligaments.

Cardiovascular Physiology

Cardiovascular physiology is the study of the circulatory system, specifically addressing the physiology of the heart ("cardio") and blood vessels. The circulatory system is an organ system that permits blood to circulate and transport nutrients, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hormones, and blood cells to and from the cells in the body to provide nourishment and help in fighting diseases, stabilize temperature and pH, and maintain homeostasis.

Neuroanatomy

Neuroanatomy is the study of the anatomy and stereotyped organization of nervous systems. In vertebrates, the nervous system is segregated into the internal structure of the brain and spinal cord (together called the central nervous system, or CNS) and the routes of the nerves that connect to the rest of the body (known as the peripheral nervous system, or PNS).

Forensic Anatomy

Forensic anatomy deals with Criminal Investigations for the applications of Anthropology. Several methods & concepts were incorporated from biological anthropology i.e. study of the physical aspects of humanity. Forensic Anthropology is a key part for identifying unknown individuals. Anthropologists assist in identifications primarily by constructing a biological profile. This includes estimating sex, age, ancestry and stature, by identifying specific characteristics like injuries or diseases. In addition to helping identify human remains, the anthropologist analyzes injuries that happened around the time of a person's death, which helps to determine how a person died.

Histology

Histology is the study of the microscopic anatomy (microanatomy) of cells and tissues of plants and animals. It is commonly performed by examining cells and tissues under a light microscope or electron microscope, Histological studies may be conducted using tissue culture, where live human or animal cells are isolated and maintained in an artificial environment for various research projects. Histopathology, the microscopic study of diseased tissue, is an important tool in anatomical pathology, since accurate diagnosis of cancer and other diseases usually requires histopathological examination of samples.
