Biography
Professor H. K. Sharma Worked with Mahaan Proteins Limited, a leading organization in India in its field as a Research Officer. During my tenure, I successfully enhanced whey protein recovery from the ion exchange column and was also instrumental in the purification of whey proteins. I also handled the project of phosphoric casein from laboratory to commercial scale. Also developed the process for rennet casein in the laboratory. Exposure to industrial training at Parle Exports Limited., Bombay (Soft drink field) and to canning industry at Purna Processed Foods, Chittor (AP) as a part of B.Tech course curriculum has enriched knowledge in the field
Research Interest
My research interest includes process development, value addition and explorations of newer quality control methods to detect and evaluate the adulterants and constituents respectively, especially in the field of Oils/fats, Dairy Technology/Engineering, Fruits and vegetables, water treatment and pollution control, waste generation and its utilization
