Abstract

The prevalence of Dementia is rapidly growing across the world due to an aging population. There are approximately 50 million people currently living with Dementia worldwide and it is estimated that every year 9.9 million people will develop the disease. The number of people living with Dementia is expected to rise to 130 million by 2050. There are over 130 different types of Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common type, affecting between 50-75% of those diagnosed with Dementia
