Construction and evaluation of advanced nursing practice course for postgraduate students in nursing

In China, nursing postgraduate education started relatively late, without a systematic and a unified core knowledge system, each school has its own curricula, and nursing-specific courses are limited. Many schools are still using clinical medicine specialized courses as their major courses, only a few schools have established courses related to advanced nursing practice. Our school developed a course named “advanced nursing practice” in the fall of 2017, 33 students chose the course. Students’ perception and evaluation of the course content, teaching methods, teaching quality and course value was collected, the problems existing in the course contents and teaching methods were discussed.
