Concept, need, significance, evolution of ECCE

The concept of early childhood care and education has undergone several changes during the last century; it has evolved from pre-primary and preschool education to early childhood care and education. The 'care' component has now been recognised as an integral part of ECCE programmes. The objective of ECCE is all round development of children addressing all needs of Survival growth and development.
