An Attempt of Implementation of Practical Dermatoscopy Training in Medical School Curriculum

Increasing harmfulness of UV radiation along with rising incidence of skin cancers expose dermatoscopy - non-invasive skin examination technique. The use of dermatoscope facilitates precise visualization of subsurface skin layers – not usually distinctive for the naked eye, leading to a meaningful improvement in the early detection of malignant skin lesions.

Although mostly used by professionals, also non-dermatologist physicians - such as general practitioners, are significantly more prone to encounter patients with suspicious skin lesions firstly. However, increasing the likelihood.
