Enhancing Vaccines Coverage by Engendering Cross Professional Alliance

Gratunity is a health promotion company with special attention to the most neglected area of health – disease prevention. We deploy creative means in filling the gaps in the five A’s of health promotion, Affordability, Accessibility, Acceptability, Availability and Awareness. The firm is led by Victor Erukunuakpor (B.Pharm) – a former vaccines director of GSK Nigeria. We have recently concluded a four-year initiative target at penultimately strengthening vaccines coverage in Nigeria. Vaccinees uptake in the Nigeria like many other developing countries/resource limited settings are driven by government through its inclusion in the national program on immunization. As such only vaccines included in expanded program on immunization (EPI) enjoy significant coverage. However, there exist quite a few lifesaving vaccines (non EPI) that protect against other very important diseases that are yet to be included in the program on immunization but exist in the relatively small private self-pay segment.
