Thyroid disorders are conditions that have an effect on the endocrine gland, a butterfly-shaped organ within the front of the neck. The thyroid has necessary roles to control various metabolic processes throughout the body. differing kinds of thyroid disorders have an effect on either its structure or perform. The endocrine gland is found below the Adam's apple wrapped round the trachea (windpipe). a skinny space of tissue within the gland's middle, referred to as the isthmus, joins the 2 thyroid lobes on all sides. The thyroid uses iodine to supply important hormones.
