Top Journal On Pancreas

The pancreas is a gland, about six inches long, found in the stomach. It is shaped like a flat pearl and is surrounded by the stomach, small intestines, liver, forehead and gall. The wide end of the pancreas on the right side of the body is called the head. The subtle end of the pancreas on the left side of the body is called the tail. The two most important  blood vessels, the superior mesenteric artery and the superior mesenteric artery, pass behind the neck of the pancreas and before the union process. The pancreas is the exocrine gland and the endocrine gland and has two main functions - the digestion and regulation of blood sugar.
