The collective organisation involved in flow of goods and services is referred as Supply Chain Management (SCM) It also involves movement and storage of raw materials, finished goods and their end to end order fulfilment from point of source to point of consumption. The SCM also adhere planning, execution, control, design, and observation of SCM actions with the aim of producing net value, constructing a competitive substructure, leveraging universal logistics, coordinating supply with demand and gauging performance globally.
Recent research in SCM is apprehensive with topics linked to sustainability and menace management, among others. Topics like ethical issues, internal integration, transparency/visibility, and human capital/talent management have been less addressed or have made light on. While it has the same objectives as supply chain engineering, SCM is attentive on a further traditional organization and business grounded tactic, whereas supply chain engineering is intensive on a mathematical model based one
