Strategic management is managing the resources of an organization to achieve its goals and objectives. Strategic management includes setting goals, analyzing the competitive environment, analyzing the internal organization, evaluating strategies, and ensuring that managers present strategies across the organization. Strategic management is divided into several schools of thought. A descriptive approach to strategic management describes how strategies should be developed, while a descriptive approach focuses on how strategies should be implemented. These schools differ in the extent to which strategies are developed through the analytical process, in which all threats and opportunities are addressed, or they are similar to the standard guiding principles that should be applied. To help their company find ways to become more competitive the goal of strategic management. To achieve that, putting strategic management into action is a very important aspect of personal planning. Plans underway include benchmarking, redistribution of financial and human resources and positioning leadership resources to oversee the creation, sale and distribution of products and services.
