Skin Allergies Review Articles

Allergic skin reactions are caused by many reasons. Atopic Dermatitis, hives and Allergic contact dermatitis are the most common types of skin allergies. In Atopic Dermatitis skin may become red, irritated and itchy. Atopic Dermatitis is often linked with food allergy, allergic rhinitis and asthma. Sometimes small, fluid-filled bumps are formed on the skin. Hives are the red bumps that appear on the body when the immune system releases histamine. Review articles are the summary of a particular research topic.

They analyze or discuss research findings previously published by scientists  or academicians rather than reporting novel research results. Review article can be in the form of systematic reviews, literature reviews or a form of secondary literature. Systematic reviews determine the objective list of criteria, and finds all previously published original research papers that meet the criteria. They then compare the results presented in these papers. Literature reviews, in contrast, provide a summary of what the authors believe are the best and most relevant prior to publications. The concept of "review article" is separate from the concept of peer-reviewed literature. It is possible for a review to be peer-reviewed, and it is possible for a review to be non-peer-reviewed.
