Petroleum may be a present, yellow-to-black liquid found in geological formations beneath the surface, which is usually refined into various sorts of fuels. Gas may be a fuel formed when layers of buried plants, gases, and animals are exposed to intense heat and pressure over thousands of years. The energy that the plants originally obtained from the sun is stored within the sort of chemical bonds in gas. "Technology has spread to all or any spheres of life and Public Sector Units (PSUs) aren't lacking behind. The company Communication team in any PSUs uses latest technologies just like the new media alongside newspapers, televisions, Press Releases etc. to succeed in bent the masses about the goals and achievements of the organization. This research paper focuses on the role played by the company Communication department in handling organizational crisis that happened in 2005 and 2009 during a reputed Fortune 500 oil sector PSU based in India and abroad. This project revolves around two real world case studies. So this project is titled “The Role of Corporate Communication in Handling Organizational Crisis’ revolves around two real world case studies. It highlights the precise areas where the organization has put in its efforts in managing the 2 different disasters that happened within the recent past. The primary case happened in 2005, when the most important offshore platform belonging to the World’s Most Admired Company was hit by a vessel whereby a catastrophic fire engulfed the platform which was lost forever. Within the second case in 2009, the organization faced a crisis when it had been asked to line up itself as a subsidiary unit in Assam. Crisis communication, a particularly important role of Corporate Communication has been explained elaborately with the 2 cases studies within the report.
