General Practice Case Reports

General practice is a term given to various nations, such as the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, in services provided by General practitioners. In some countries, such as the US, similar services can be defined as family medicine or primary care. The term primary care in the UK may also include services provided by community pharmacists, opticians, dental surgeons and community-based caregivers. The balance of care between primary care and secondary care - which often refers to services rendered to hospitals - varies depending on location and time. In many countries there are ways to divert resources from hospitals into the public, in the hope that this will save money and become much easier.
