Gene Expression Profiling Scholarly Journals

In the field of Gene Expression Profiling, gene expression profiling is the rate of activity (expression) of thousands of genes simultaneously, creating a global picture. These profiles can, for example, distinguish between cells that are actively differentiated, or show how cells react to a particular treatment. Multiple experiments of this type quantify the genome simultaneously, that is, all species present in a particular cell. Many transcripttomics technologies can be used to produce the data needed for analysis. DNA microarray measures the total activity of previously identified enemy species. Sequence set-up techniques, such as RNA-Seq, provide information on gene sequences above their expression level.
