Fish Diseases

Like humans and other animals, fish suffer from diseases and germs. Fish protection from disease is a specific disease and is indirect. Unspecified protection includes skin and scales, as well as a layer of mucus protected by the genermis that burrows microorganisms and inhibits their growth. When pathogens violate these defenses, fish can develop inflammatory responses that increase blood flow in infected areas and bring about white blood cells that try to eliminate the bacteria. Specific immunity is a special response to certain organisms recognized by the body of fish, which are immune responses to the immune system. In recent years, vaccines have been widely used in aquatic fish and ornamental species, for example, vaccines for furunculosis salmon blood and koi herpes in koi.
