Treatment for nocturnal enuresis in children underlines either a psychological or pharmacological approach. The enuresis alarm has emerged as the most effective psychological treatment, in comparative studies. Within this analysis, we analyze both outcome levels and influential variables from recent studies. Heterogeneity in terms of parameters of inclusion and outcome made the distinction between the studies problematic. The enuresis alarm is an important intervention for the nocturnal enuresis babies. There are a number of factors, both pre- and in-treatment, that appear to influence its efficacy and may assist clinical decisions about its suitability for any particular child.
