In fluid capacity, eddy is the fluid saturation and backflow that is presently present when the fluid is in a turbulent flow state. A moving fluid creates a space with no fluid flowing down the river side of the object. The filling behind the obstacle flowing into the voids creates a stream of water on each edge of the obstacle, followed by a short critical flow behind the obstacle flowing upward, toward the back of the obstacle. This object is seen naturally behind large boulders that appear in streams that flow quickly.
