Health promotion is a kind of science that helps people change their lifestyle to achieve a state of optimal health. WHO defines health as a state of physical, mental, and social well-being irrespective of disease. Physical fitness is termed as a physiologic state of well-being that helps to meet the daily living needs or basic performance often sometimes both. Exercise is essential for the promotion of health and plays a vital role in the treatment and cure of many diseases. Exercise helps in the promotion of health and lifespan. Proper dosage of drugs is extremely important to achieve the beneficial effects of exercise. Very often exercise acts a s a Psychoactive drug producing the positive psychological effects. So special attention should be paid to these effects as well. When performed in moderate level, it causes very beneficial relaxing effects on most of the population, while some persons get addicted to it. Special care must be taken for particular people who are severely ill having conditions like asthma, hypertension and cardiac stroke.
