Drug Development Reviews
Drug discovery has now evolved into a scientific and highly logical process due to a better understanding of biological processes and basic chemistry, thanks to advances made due to the development of advanced diagnostic techniques and the availability of high performance computational resources. This process has reached the stage where drugs are synthesized rather than detected. The development and validation of analytical methods play important roles in the discovery, development, and execution of pharmaceutical drugs. Development of the technique is the process of proving that the analytical procedure is acceptable for use in measuring the concentration of an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in a specific dose. This allows simplified procedures to ensure that the proposed analytical method will accurately and consistently perform reliable measurements of the APIs in the preparation of a given drug.
