Critical Care Nutrition

Intensive care medicine, also called critical care medicine, is a specialized treatment that works with patients who are seriously ill, at risk, or recovering from potentially life-threatening conditions. It includes providing life support, invasive screening techniques, rehabilitation and lifelong care. Doctors in this specialty are often referred to as intensive care physicians, intensive care physicians or surgeons. Intensive care relies on multidisciplinary teams consisting of many different health professionals. Such groups often include doctors, nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, among others. They often work together in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital
