A copyright is a type of intellectual property that gives its holder the exclusive right to make copies of a creative work, usually for a limited period of time. Creative work can be in writing, art, teaching, or music. Copyright is intended to protect the original expression of the concept in the form of creative work, but not the concept itself. Copyright is subject to restrictions based on public interest considerations. Copyright rights can be granted by public law and in that case are considered "property rights". This means that patents granted by a law of a particular state, do not extend beyond the scope of that particular influence.
