Companion diagnostic (CDx) is a diagnostic assay used as a companion to a therapeutic drug to work out its applicability to a selected person. Purpose is to work out the right therapeutic agent for a private Companion diagnostics are co-developed with drugs to assist in selecting or excluding patient groups for treatment thereupon particular drug on the idea of their biological characteristics that determine res ponders and non-responders to the therapy.
