Brunners Gland Adenoma

Brunner’s gland adenoma may be a rare tumor of the duodenum and may additionally be an unusual explanation for gastrointestinal bleeding or obstruction. The pathogenesis of Brunner gland hamartoma of the duodenum is unknown. We report two cases of Brunner’s gland adenoma. Surgical resection was administered because the tumor size was big in both cases and one accompanied with bleeding. Pathological examination revealed submucosal nodular hyperplasia of the Brunner’s glands. Brunner’s gland adenoma, also referred to as Brunner’s hamartoma, may be a rare duodenal lesion that comprises less than 5% of benign duodenal tumors. Most Brunner’s gland adenoma is little size masses and lots of patients are asymptomatic.
