Adult Foster Care

The definition of adult care is a major challenge especially because of the wide variety of terminology in question and the absence of a national standard. Older care refers to the care provided to older people by the same age as at home. To bring that down; care is by no means medical in nature, including the help and activities of daily living and continuous monitoring. Home-like environment means a house with shared residences and restaurants where help is provided to a very small number of people.

Adult care is often the same as adult family care. However, foster care can also mean in the case of foster care where the caregiver is related to the person receiving care. There is no hard and fast rule. Most kinship care is done informally, without the involvement of a court or public organization. In 2012, a quarter of all children in formal foster care were placed with relatives instead of being placed into the system
