ORGANIC PSYCHOSIS

A head injury or an illness that affects the brain like Parkinson’s disease can cause symptoms of psychosis. Abnormal mental state with a known physical cause characterized by an altered perception of reality is known as organic psychosis. Causes of this psychosis ranges from traumatic brain injuries or drug abuse to the contraction of a brain disease.
