Myocardial Infarction/Cardiac Arrest

Myocardial Infarction occurs when one of more regions of the heart muscle experience a severe or prolonged decrease in oxygen supply caused by a blocked blood flow in a coronary artery to the heart muscle. In other words, death of a portion of the heart muscle tissue due to a blockage or interruption in the supply of blood to the heart muscle.
