It is a technique to implant new breast to those females who have removed their breast due to breast cancer or any other reason. Immediate reconstruction starts just after removal of breast in which skin is preserved for better results. In delayed reconstruction, implantation is started later, radiation is provided to chest portion. Drawback includes scar tissues, capsular contracture, pain in breast, changes in nipple and breast sensation, rupture of saline and silicone gel-filled implants.
