Autoimmune Limbic Encephalitis

Limbic encephalitis which is a form of encephalitis. It is a disease characterised by inflammation of the brain. It results due to autoimmunity which is an unfavourable state where the body produces antibodies against an individual. The disease was first reported by Brierley and others in 1960 while its connection to cancer was first observed in 1968.
