Singapore Medical Students perceptions of training and future career in light of the current changes in medical education.

The current undergraduate medical education climate in Singapore has to contend with a large increase of medical students, a shift of focus in healthcare from hospital to community and changes in post-graduate training. This study investigated fourth year medical students’ perceptions on their training and career, given the current changes in medical education in Singapore. A cross-sectional, descriptive study was conducted on year 4 medical students from National University of Singapore. There were 67 items on a 5-point Likert scale on the self-administered, standardised questionnaire.

Chi-square test with a p value of <0.05 was used to compare the participant opinion.
