Abstract

Mukherjee's Equation.

The Glomerular Filtration Rate [GFR] is an important metric for determining the health of two kidneys. At the moment, we're calculating it with a variety of formulae. The Cockcroft-Gault formula from 1973 is one of the formulas. The most often utilised formula is the 2009 CKD-EPI creatinine equation, which includes characteristics such as SCr, Age, Gender, and Race. Now that I've done some research, I've discovered that we're missing a crucial component: height, which is a highly important demographic factor. BMI is inversely proportionally related to GFR, according to several studies. So, after calculating, I propose an equation that includes height as a determining factor. Mukherjee's equation will be the name given to this equationnowadays. GFR = [2100-age]/ [0.72 x S.cr x BMI] Wherein: • BMI=Weight in Kg/Hight in m2 There are a few things to keep in mind: 1.This formula is for Asian patients. 2.You are over the age of eighteen. 3.It's just for obese people with a BMI of 30 or more. 4.The value will be multiplied by 0.8 for females.
