Vitiligo diet is defined as diet ( food intake ) which is prescribed by dermatologist for treatment of Vitiligo. These are of two types.
a. Food items to be avoid: Fruits, vegetables, milk products, non- vegetarian food items, junk foods and other items.
b. Food items to be taken: patients should include fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, and lean protein such as chicken or fish, eat fresh food, sugar should be used limited, yeast sparing should be used. wheat, pure ghee, red pepper, jiggery, radish, beetroot, spinach and mangoes.
