Preimplantation genetic diagnosis
Preimplantation genetic diagnosis is a screening test in which embryos produced through in vitro fertilisation are screened out in order to determine if genetic or chromosomal disorders are present or not. It is a process of removing a cell from in vitro fertilization embryo for testing before transferring the embryo to the uterus.
