Heart Diseases

Heart diseases is also known as cardiovascular disease. It includes stroke, hypertensive heart disease, aortic aneurysms, cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation, congenital heart disease, endocarditis and peripheral artery disease. These may be caused by high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, lack of exercise, obesity, high blood cholesterol, poor diet. The most common cause of heart disease is narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries, the blood vessels that supply blood to the heart itself.
