Khosbayar Tulgaa (M.D., Ph.D) was born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in 1978. She received the medical doctor degree from the Medical University of Mongolia in 2001, the M.Sc. degree in microbiology from the Health Sciences University of Mongolia (HSUM) in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in molecular biology from the HSUM, Mongolia, in 2013.
She has held researcher positions at Central Research Laboratory, HSUM for several years. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Her research interests cover the molecular epidemiology, molecular pathology and molecular diagnostics of infectious and non-infectious diseases particularly, drug resistant bacterial infection and cancer.
Dr. Khosbayar T. is member of editorial board local journals including Mongolian Journal of Infectious Disease (MJOID) and Pharmacy. Moreover, she is member of advisory board ?Cultures? magazine, American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and serves as an ASM-Young Ambassador to Mongolia.
