Biography
Surgery professor at Surgical Science Department ââ¬â in Sapienza ââ¬â University of Rome. Graduated (1982) cum laude, first in his class, at the University of Rome ââ¬Å Sapienzaââ¬Â and General Surgeon Specialization cum laude (1987); Ph.D (1992); ATLS Surgeon from 1996 (American College of Surgeons). He has performed over 5,000 surgical procedures in emergency and elective surgery with large series of colon, rectum and pelvic floor reconstruction.
Make more than 1,000 outpatient visits annually in general surgery and colon proctology.
Author of more than 140 publications (paper) in indexed national and international journals. Author of many training surgical techniques films. Coauthor of Surgery textbook for university students. Author of many articles on medical and surgical popular magazines.
PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS: President, Chairmen, Organizer, Moderator and Speaker in national and international congress. Director, organizer and teacher in numerous training scholarship (including CME, continuing medical education) and scientific events of regional and national level.
