Biography
Karina Renoirte, nephrologist graduated in 2009 from the University of Guadalajara. I was a nephrologist fellow at Hospital Civil of Guadalajara, with Dr Guillermo Garcia Garcia as my professor.
In 2013, I went back to the Unversity of Guadalajara to study a Doctoral Degree in Clinicar Research, which I just finished in January 2017.
I have always been interested in reseach, mainly in CKD prevention, hemolialisys and peritoneal dialysis.
I worked for 3 years as the Medical Director of the 13 hemodialisys clinics that belong to PiSA (main Mexican Pharmaceutical Company).
Then, I worked for 2 years as Medical Director for Fresenuis Medical Care in Mexico.
I came back to PiSA in 2016 to join the company as Medical Director of the Nephology Division, that includes hemodalysis clinics as well as peritoneal dialysis and strategies for new business in nephrolgy.
I also teach nephrology for undergraduated students at University of Guadalajara, and I work on weekends as clinical nephrologist at Hospital Civil. I teach nephrology fellows PD catheter insertion technique and tunneled vascular catheter insertions. I also direct some of the fellows thesis to obtain the degree of nehrologist.
I have been participating with the Mexican Association of Nephrologist since 2014, as Secretary, Treasury and Chair, whose main mission is CKD prevention.
Recently, I collaborated with the University of Guadalajara to launch online courses about CKD and Hemodialysis
