Biography

Dr. Dror Robinson, MD, PhD, serves as the Medical Director of Cartiheal Ltd. Dr. Robinson serves as the Head of Foot and Ankle Department and Head of the Orthopedic Research Unit at the Hasharon Hospital at the Rabin Medical Center in Petah-Tikva. Prior to this he served as Chairman of the Orthopedics Department in Hasharon Hospital and as Head of the Orthopedic Oncology Unit at Assaf Harofe Hospital. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School of Medicine. His research concentrates on the repair of cartilage injuries using autologous cells, either cultured chondrocytes or mesenchymal cells. He has conducted over 100 animal trials, over 25 human trials and published more than 90 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Robinson holds a PhD in Cartilage Transplantation from Tel Aviv University and completed a Fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
