Research Interest
1)Qualitative and qualitative analysis of mitochondrial DNA deletions in the brain of Alzheimer patients and in the skeletal muscle of OPMD patients;
2)Characterization of age-related mitochondrial genotypic and phenotypic alterations in human and rat skeletal muscles;
3)Mitochondrial DNA content and deletions in rat skeletal muscles in the experimental model of rat hindlimb suspension unloading (HSU);
4)Mitochondrial DNA sequence changes and mtDNA content in the blood of patients affected by type 2 diabetes;
5) Mitochondrial alterations in endometrial cancer.
6) Analysis of mitochondrial proteome in tumor cells and in cybrid cells harbouring mitochondrial DNA Mutation;
